Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage day to day base operations.
- Supervise the operation and deployment of pollution equipment and staff.
- Ensure that all spill response equipment is maintained in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the implementation of all HSE and other procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety of all staff and safe execution of all work conducted.
- Responsible for safe execution of all work conducted.
- Responsible for the prepackaging of oil spill response equipment for rapid deployment.
- Demonstrate understanding of oil spill response.
- Experience coordinating and controlling the movement of all materials/ equipment in the office/ store relating to the project operations.
- Ability to lead and enforce a high-performance organization.
- Ability to work well both as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Well-developed sense for assessment, problem-solving and logistical decision-making.
- Detail oriented.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Having B. Sc. Degree in a mechanical/ electrical/ Marine or equivalent.
- Having training IMO Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation (OPRC) minimum Level-1 & 2.
- At least more than five (5) years of experience in the same position - ideally management of a base or facility.
- Technical background in mechanical and/ or electricity.
- Mandatory knowledge of the Saudi context (culture of the country, communities, security issues, etc.
- Conversant with IT tools.
- Strong QHSE knowledge and understanding.
- Knowing procedures, legislation, and health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- High-level computer skills – Microsoft packages, internet, email, etc.
- Excellent level of written and spoken English.
- Arabic speaker is a plus.
