We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimation Facility Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various facility projects. This role requires a strong background in cost estimation,

project planning, and budget management within industrial and commercial environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for facility operations and capital projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Use estimation software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
  1. Project Planning and Management:
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to review and understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Perform site visits to assess project scope, gather necessary data, and verify existing conditions.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and reports to senior management and stakeholders for decision-making and budgeting purposes.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with budget estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including change orders, progress reports, and cost tracking logs.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  1. Bidding and Contract Negotiation:
  • Participate in bidding processes, prepare bid documents, and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure reliable delivery of materials and services.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement best practices in cost estimation and project management to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials costs, and technological advancements to improve estimation practices.
  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of new tools and methodologies for cost estimation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation for facility projects, preferably in industrial or commercial environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
