Job Description
The Trainee Affairs Coordinator is responsible to the Trainee Affairs Manager in relation to coordinating and overseeing a wide range of student support services, programs, and initiatives that contribute to students' personal and academic success in alignment with the strategic leadership and management of the College.
They will develop and implement student engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote, a positive campus culture, and student well-being.
They will provide information about campus resources, policies, and support services to help students navigate their educational journey.
Skills
- Plan and implement comprehensive orientation programs for new students, ensuring a smooth transition into the College environment.
- Support the organisation of career fairs, student clubs, activities, and events that promote networking, leadership, and personal development.
- Collaborate with Departments to facilitate academic workshops, study groups, and tutoring services to enhance students' learning outcomes.
- Monitor academic progress and identify students who may need additional support, referring them to appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with counselling and health services to promote students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Serve as a point of contact for students facing challenges or concerns, advocating on their behalf and connecting them with appropriate support services.
- Address student grievances in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
- Generate reports and assessments as required to evaluate the effectiveness of student services initiatives.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in student services, education, and student engagement through ongoing professional development.
- Participate in relevant training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business or Administrative specialisation from a recognised education institution or equivalent in a relevant subject area. Degree in relevant subject area is desirable.
- English language qualification at IELTS 5.0 or CEFR A2/B1. IELTS 6.5 or CEFR C1/B2 is desirable.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the post.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of student services or related experience.
- Providing student support
- Prior experience in KSA or the GCC is preferred.
