Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of production workers to ensure efficient and effective production of sauces and condiments.
- Monitor the reports and give a summary report to the Production Manager each week.
- Developing and implementing production schedules and strategies to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitoring production processes to ensure quality control and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of production staff to ensure proper training, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure they are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Communicating with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and distribution, to coordinate production activities and meet customer demand.
- Keeping accurate records of production data, including production output, inventory levels, and maintenance schedules.
- . Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all production staff.
- Communicate with each supporting department the needs of the production department and also production schedules. The support departments are Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse, Maintenance, Personnel. Shipping (for return baskets, production orders)
- Communicate with the Shipping Department as their support department that all needs are met (orders completed).
- Monitor shift efficiencies to insure budgets are obtained and costs are controlled. (labor, ingredients, waste, production rates)
- Lead production planning for labor, production schedules each week and month and also for Holiday schedules.
- All problem decision making should must be coordinated with approval from the Production Manager.
