Responsible for supporting the teachers to complete daily tasks and meet the educational, developmental and emotional needs of children both in and out of the classroom and other administrative aspects across EY.
Job responsibilities:
*Academic (EY)
· Aids the classroom teacher in ensuring a safe, healthy, inviting, and creative classroom environment for the children
· Utilises strategies to prevent challenging behavior.
· Assists in the development of social-emotional skills.
· Helps maintain a safe environment and promotes positive behaviour.
· Deals with children's behavior and feelings with empathy and communication.
· Establishes positive relationships with students and interacts with them based on their individual needs.
· Supervises children in a range of locations, including outdoor spaces and the playground.
· Assists in evaluating the progress of children as per the classroom teacher/EYCA's direction.
· Provides learning support for individual / small group of children according to classroom teacher's instructions
· Covers the class during the homeroom teacher’s absence and for those other levels who don’t have a TA
· Maintains cleanliness and assists/reminds children to observe proper hygiene practices, such as sanitizing hands before eating.
· Ensures that the students are tidy and the classroom is well-kept and organized.
· Checks on and follow up children who need extra time and assistance and following up with them.
· Helps the classroom teacher in marking children's work such as workbooks, homework books, and other task.
*Central Admin Support
· Assists in the classroom set-up, organisation, and maintenance of the classroom and materials/supplies
· Assists with record keeping, copying, and filing as directed by the classroom teacher.
· Participates and attends trips, meetings, and other activities as needed.
*Others
· Attend any necessary school events as required.
· Undertake project work or cover for other job roles as required.
· Experience with preschool children is highly preferred.
· Very good English communication and effective listening.

· Builds positive relationships with teachers and children.
· Patient and Committed to work.
· Good IT Proficiency skills- Capable of using Microsoft Office tools.
