Job Description

In this position, you will have to: 

1.    Perform administrative and basic communications-related tasks to support staff in the development, preparation, and execution of communications campaigns

2.    Support missions to project locations, such as by arranging logistics, coordinating with partners and field offices, or accompanying and supporting senior staff on the ground.

3.    Conduct media/social media monitoring daily, and report relevant information to senior staff to inform the development and/or evaluation of communications activities

4.    Serve as procurement focal point for the communications unit – support the process of requesting, tendering, purchasing communications and visibility material such as clothing, banners etc. Process invoices and manage stocks.

5.    Manage and maintain records and databases, such as media contact lists, to ensure the information is accurate, up to date, organized, and readily available

6.    Liaise with WFP’s NGO partners to ensure good coordination of communications campaigns, clearance of messages and adherence to WFP branding and visibility guidelines

7.    Support the preparation of internal communication materials and reports, such as weekly digests or donor visibility reports.

8.    Support with translation and transcription of material such as interviews or press releases

9.    Perform other related tasks as requested by direct supervisor
