About the Job:

To provide quality food and beverage service that is always consistent with the SBU SBS. To ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. To assist supporting the FOH team in delivering excellent service standards.  Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times both on your section and within the restaurant.

Attending to guests by welcoming and seating them. Cater to their requirements by taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to customers and attend to customers' needs. Communicating the orders to the kitchen effectively, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks etc. in line with Jumeirah standard operating procedure.

Your main duties will include:

• Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Standards.
• Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.
• Provides table and or counter service of all menu items.
• Provides table and or counter service of alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages.
• Updates food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties.
• Provides advice on food and beverage to guests.
• Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
• Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served, and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager.
• Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.
• Any other duties such as working in different department as may reasonably be 
• requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions.
• Effectively communicate with PIC in kitchen and FOH colleagues
• Knows the correct presentation of all menu items.
• Ensures the pass section / area is fully prepared ready for the shift as per restaurant requirements.
• Manage the expedition of food from the pass, ensuring a seamless experience for the guest (i.e. apps with apps and mains with mains). 
• Any other duties such as working in different department as may reasonably be requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions.
• Undertake all tasks competently.
• Reports to duty as scheduled and on time
• Performs tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Can work in a busy place. 
• Can handle the pressure

Qualifications:

• Male or Female 
• Ability to work in a smoky environment.
• Flexible scheduling
• Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm with work. 
• Good English communication skills
• Honest and sincere in dealing with colleagues and customers.
• Basic knowledge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
• Basic table service skills

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in similar position and style of property 
• Has been working in a similar place before.
• Has good product knowledge.
• Flexible to work in the bar for assistance desirable.
• 2-3 years in a Food and Beverage Service outlet in a 5-star property
