Madinat Jumeirah is also home to over 50 world-class restaurants and bars, as well as a traditional souk featuring Arabian shopping stands, barrows and stalls with a blend of boutique brands, souvenir gift shops, and luxury fashion and jewellery outlets.   About the Job:   An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/ess to join Shimmers in Jumeirah Mina Al Salam. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:   To always embrace the Jumeirah Hallmarks  Greet and treat all colleagues in a friendly manner.  Must be comfortable discussing food and wine choices with guests in detail.    To maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests.  To communicate with Culinary Team to ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests.   To ensure the food pick up and service is impeccable and completed in a timely manner  Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests  Responsible for setting up tables, serving food and beverage to guests, and clearing/cleaning tables.   Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system  To understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.  About you:   The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:   Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak)   Strong Customer Service Orientation   Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate)  Problem solving  Detail orientated
