About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Waiter / Waitress to join the Food and Beverage Services team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Identify and meet guests’ needs, provide appropriate bar services, assist guests in making recommendations, upselling where appropriate to provide knowledgeable and bespoke service.
• Serve beverages according to defined standards and measures (according to local license agreements).
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to beverage recipes. Ensure all drink transactions are processed, registered, and settled.
• Set up the bar appropriately, ensuring the visuals and merchandise are placed appropriately. 
• Undertake opening, closing & cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists.
• Coordinate with stewards to ensure equipment and bar area are always kept hygienically clean and tidy and sufficient glassware is available.
• Ensure that expiration dates are checked and that all perishable garnishes are stored and recorded in designated storage areas.
• Adopt a responsible attitude towards serving alcoholic beverages to ensure safe consumption in line with group policy and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
• Handle guests' inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Team Leaders if no immediate solution can be found.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• One year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
• Fluent in English, and an additional international language is a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms. 
• Knowledge of speciality coffee, understanding of various dietary requirements and awareness of healthy diets.
