Job Description

Support the analytics & insights deliverables of the GCEO Office as required. Provide value added analysis to support management decision-making through key business insights by analysing business performance / forecasts, insights, proposals and various financial reports.


The candidate must be able to develop a clear understanding of FAB’s business divisions and the ability to coordinate with all key stakeholders across the bank while leveraging existing system/s to aggregate and leverage required data in a meaningful manner so as to provide all of the above required analytics.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Generic Accountability


Analytics & Insight


  • Provide value added analysis to support management decision-making through key business insights.
  • Summarize and provide detailed analytical review of outlook, business proposals and various committee papers.
  • Monthly insights on key business performance including top-down strategic guidance for the annual budgeting process highlighting key growth areas.
  • Comprehensive P&L analysis including detailed analysis and interpretation of periodic results, variances, risk positions, realised and unrealised P&L components, revaluation curve movements with P&L attribution, new deals, and price / rate validation.
  • Support the preparation of analytical reports and presentations for senior management and highlight key strategic themes and insights.
  • Provide on a regular basis a business forecast to enable the effective management of the monthly/quarterly results.
  • Ad-hoc analysis based on internal or external data sources that delivers relevant strategic or financial insight for the bank.
  • Ad-hoc insights around specific theme- or industry-based topics to provide stakeholders with value-added insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration


  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and business teams to leverage relevant information enabling value added analysis.
  • Partner with other teams across the Bank to identify opportunities for the Bank and highlight these in appropriate forums, e.g. Business Reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification


  • Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s degree.  
  • Desirable: - Chartered Accountant/ Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or any other relevant finance degree or diploma.

Minimum Experience


  • 10 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector in similar positions.
