About the Role:


As a Vice President Facilities leading the Design and Turnkey Projects, you will develop and lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of interior design and turnkey projects. You would also manage the projects to the highest quality standards, aligning with the company's vision and objectives, in a cost-effective manner within the stipulated time frame and budget. Projects (Dubai/Overseas) are high value and complex and include new outlets, new offices, new airport lounges, refurbishments of outlets/offices/lounges, new buildings (hotels, offices, etc). Driving innovation in design and project management, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity within the team, are key focus areas in this role.


In this role you will:


  • Develop and implement the overall strategy for the Interior Design and Turnkey Projects division in collaboration with executive leadership, to align with overall business objectives.
  • Develop, manage and implement interior design and fit out standards for the Group including Dubai and Outstations in accordance with global and brand standards and statutory authorities requirements (such as Civil Defence, Municipality, local station, airport authorities) to meet best practice and legal compliance requirements.
  • Simultaneously lead multiple high value and complex projects within the area of specialisation by directing relevant specialised contractors/consultants on a range of topics such as estimation of cost/work requirements and project specification and scope (furniture, fit out and equipment). The job holder works closely with the facilities maintenance and operations section to ensure satisfactory fit out/finish for the buildings.
  • Promote innovative design solutions that meet functional, aesthetic and environment-friendly requirements and ensure that architectural design works are regularly reviewed and approved to ensure consistency with the agreed scope of work and contract requirements.
  • In collaboration with Group Procurement, lead the fit out and design tender process in Dubai and overseas, which includes sourcing, pre-qualification and evaluation of suppliers, contractors and consultants (includes technical and commercial perspectives); preparation and evaluation of the tender documents; negotiation of terms & conditions.
  • Accountable for the progress and quality of interior design, space planning, and refurbishment, ensuring it is in line with corporate expectations and delivered on time and to budget.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of designers, project managers, and support staff.
