V.I.E. Development & Structured Export Finance and Maritime Industries Analyst

Responsibilities
We are looking for a V.I.E. to join a challenging mission within two departments:
I. the Development and Structured Export Finance (GLBA/DSE) business line
II. the Maritime Industries (GLBA/STS/MAI)
For indicative purpose, the workload is expected to be split respectively 60% - 40% between GLBA/DSE and GLBA/STS/MAI. The future V.I.E. will benefit from working directly with the FO director in charge of origination and execution for DSE activities and the FO director in charge of origination and execution of MAI activities. The office is quite diverse, exposing the V.I.E. to an international group of people.

contact with Analysts, Associates and VPs based in Paris and London headquarters collaboration with all the Business Units of DSE department and stakeholders for DSE and MAI business lines learning the full suite of financing products available to institutions across the sovereign, corporate and financial institution sectors. working on pitches and execution exposure to learning techniques that will help developing skills across marketing, structuring and communication
Essentially, the V.I.E. will benefit from being in the regional office of a growing and important region to the bank with a lot of focus from senior management.
The primary mission of the mission will be to support the front officers in their respective businesses. The V.I.E. should be involved in the whole value chain of their transactions, as per the below.
Market-Insight:
- assist (i) in gathering data and market intelligence across products and customers/prospects (sovereigns, corporates and financial institutions) and (ii) in monitoring closely projects in the region susceptible to generate GLBA/DSE & MAI opportunities.
Origination:
- work on external presentations (pitches, proposals, indicative offers, term-sheets) as well as internal documents (client mapping, strategy, meeting reports) and pricing strategy.
- occasionally meet customers or prospects on certain transactions and he/she will assist in the discussion / negotiation stage aiming to define and structure the best structure.
- ensure at inception of any opportunities that KYC and compliance rules are respected (KYC, conflict of interest, Chinese wall, SG reputation, anti-money laundering, embargoes & sanctions).
Execution:
- be involved in credit process and financial analysis of the parties and projects considered.
- be involved in the execution process (documentation, closing, logistics, etc.) and he/she will interact as a deal team member with other teams involved (legal, risq, compliance, etc.).
Post-closing:
- ensure the follow-up of existing loans in portfolio and participate to interactions with middle-office and portfolio managers.
Due to the VIE eligibility criteria a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.
Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Corporate Finance
• A previous experience in Finance (Export Financing, Project Finance, Asset Finance etc…) would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
• Arabic would be an advantage
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Good communication and presentation skills
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Dubai is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
