UAV / ATM System Chief Specialist

Role Purpose

Contributing to the design and development of the general policy related to the Aviation Safety, Security and Environment of unmanned Aircraft Vehicle, preparing and disseminating operational manuals for the services and operations related with the unmanned Aircraft Vehicle and ensuring the effective implementation of their annual operational plan. To develop and implement policy frame work of the Audits, inspections process and update associated documentation as well as procedures and protocols for Air Navigation Service Providers related to UAV Activities.  Key Responsibilities/Duties:

1.Determine the operation of UAV and associated activities and design the required oversighting and control mechanisms for these operations.

2.Develops and establishes procedures and guidelines for daily UAV activities in coordination with Aviation Navigation services providers.

3.Designing the necessary procedures and conditions for issuing permits to carry out operations and practice activities related to UAV.

4.Developing the comprehensive scheme for approved areas, altitudes and airways in which UAV are permitted to operate.

5.Designing aviation safety, security, and environment systems and services for UAV and publishing the required manuals for that.

6.Carry out regular assessment visits and monitoring of all experiment’s activities related to UAV certification process.

7.Participate in developing the operational plan related to the aviation safety, security and environment for UAV and ATM related activities.

8.Analyze, recommend & report on UAV and Air Traffic Management system’s activities, outputs and results including monitoring services, performance measures, inspections conducted, technical study and coordination with other entities involved in UAV and UTM operations.

9.Developing a risk management plan for UAV and Air Traffic Management system’s activities, overseeing its efficient implementation and ensuring its effectiveness.

10.Provide an effective and efficient technical consultation related to UAV and Air Traffic Management system’s activities, including the diagnoses and resolving safety security andenvironment issues, and conducting market analysis systems development and innovations.

11.Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the line manager.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• or equivalent Air Traffic Controller program.
• or equivalent Air Transport Pilot program.

Certifications:

• Air Traffic Controller License
• Or ATPL License
• Aviation Communication
• SMS

Professional Experience:

• Knowledge of enforcement methodology & policies.
• At least (10) years’ working experience in air traffic control, commercial airline pilot or regulation management.
• Radio Frequency Communication, Technical, communications and software skills.
• Knowledge and experience in development of Technical Manuals.
