Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Tunisian dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary, ensuring ingredients are fresh and readily available.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Create seasonal menus inspired by Tunisian culinary traditions and local ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of cooking and efficiency.
  • Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions or customer preferences, when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably specializing in Tunisian or North African cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional Tunisian cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Creativity and a passion for cooking.
  • Ability to work under pressure
