About
the Role
This
is a hands on role which involves operation of our 100 tons travel lift to haul
vesselsup to 35m. Your role will
include water blasting of vessels hulls after hauling, movingvessels around the yard with either the
travel lift or forklift as well as awareness ofusing boom lift. Overseas daily operation and
maintenance of lifts and maintain equipment performingdaily maintenance checks and recording
results.
Major
Activities
∙ Overseas operation of lifts on a daily basis.
∙ Performs
daily checks at the director on the workshop supervisor. ∙ Ensures
all lifts are closed down correctly at the end of each shift. ∙ Reviews
maintenance logs daily for scheduled maintenance and completes asneeded.
∙ Daily cleaning and maintaining of lifts, ship lift bay and
ramp.
∙ Other duties as assigned by
supervisor, which could be directly related, orunrelated to original position.
Qualification
and Experience
∙ Boat yard / Marine travel lift experience is preferred.
∙ Valid
Driving License will be required to drive company vehicles. ∙ Boating
knowledge, operation of heavy machinery or forklift skills would be anadvantage.
∙ Experience loading and unloading trucks.
∙ Candidates
must demonstrate personal commitment to incident and injury free. ∙ Operations
with a proven track record in safety and reliability.
∙ Must
be available for support on weekends/holidays as the need arises. ∙ Ability
to follow instructions.
