About the job TRANSPORTATION 2D CAD DRAFTSMEN
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The work of a Transportation 2D CAD Draftsman is crucial for bridging the gap between design and construction, ensuring that all aspects of transportation projects are visually and technically represented for successful implementation. Their expertise supports safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in construction projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings for transportation projects, including site layouts, road alignments, cross-sections, grading plans, and utility layouts.
- Ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with project specifications and local standards.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to gather necessary inputs and clarify requirements.
- Incorporate feedback into designs to ensure they meet project objectives.
- Adhere to UAE transportation and construction standards, including municipal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain consistency across all drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent and project deliverables.
- Maintain an organized library of CAD drawings and project documents.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and revising designs as required during project execution.
- Conduct self-checks and reviews of all work to ensure high-quality output and adherence to deadlines.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or certificate in CAD Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, specifically in transportation projects (roads, highways, and related infrastructure).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Knowledge of UAE transportation design standards and construction practices.
- Experience with drafting for road alignments, traffic plans, and utilities is highly desirable.
- Must have GCC work experience preferably in the UAE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
