Job Purpose
The Tendering Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the tendering process within MCA cross regions. This includes managing the preparation, submission, and tracking of bids and proposals for various projects and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the tendering process with all internal stakeholders, ensuring all deadlines, requirements, and procedures are met. Conduct market research to identify potential tendering opportunities that align with the organization's capabilities and strategic goals. Prepare and review tender documents, including technical specifications, pricing, and commercial terms. Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, TIQ specialists, engineers, and operations teams, to gather necessary information for tender submissions. Maintain a comprehensive database of current and historical tender information, including win/loss analysis. Develop and implement tendering strategies and best practices to improve the organization's success rate and liaise at local as global level with other tendering specialists. Monitor the tendering landscape, staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes that may impact the tendering process. Provide training and guidance to the tendering team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new tendering opportunities. Prepare and present reports on the tendering activities and performance to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in a relevant field, such as business, project management, or engineering. Extensive experience in tendering or bid management, preferably in the construction, engineering, or professional services industry. Strong understanding of tendering processes, contractual agreements, and commercial practices. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in using tendering software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address tendering-related challenges. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
