Technical Support Engineer
Based in Abu Dhabi
Purpose of the position:
As a part of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi CAMO, the Technical Support Engineer will take a crucial role in bridging the daily operation and reliability engineering of the Wizz Air Abu Dhabi fleets. The Technical Support Engineer will monitor and perform follow-ups on each repetitive defect and ad-hoc case that requires deeper troubleshooting analysis.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Review maintenance delays and aircraft system problems to suggest improvements within maintenance procedures to achieve higher dispatch reliability.
- Continually review of the overall maintenance performance to assure maximum safety and operating efficiency.
- Everyday oversight of the fleet maintenance status, and daily communication with SCAMT providers.
- Assist with continuous process improvement to ensure optimized communication and cooperation process between Maintenance Providers and Wizz Air departments, and SCAMT providers.
- Contribute to changes in the company manuals and procedures.
- Advise other departments on maintenance related questions.
- Represent the organization as a technical contact for contracts and projects as a deputy of the Technical Services Manager.
- Management and monitoring of maintenance provider’s performance.
- Provide immediate assistance, advice and technical support to the Technical Services Manager.
- Liaise with Maintenance Planning, MOC and SCAMT Engineering departments on daily basis.
- Continuously monitor aircraft technical status to minimize repair time and costs.
- Support the Technical Services Manager to manage the AD, SB, Modification assessment and approval process
- Support NP CAW with GCAA and the CAMO Compliance Manager in their surveillance and auditing duties and ensure that all non-compliances with stablished procedures and standards are corrected in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Ensure that all applicable maintenance data required to establish the methods, techniques, standards and instructions to be employed in maintaining the airworthiness of WAZ aircraft are acquired, kept current and correct, and made available to all persons involved in performance of continuing airworthiness activities for Wizz Air, including subcontracted and contracted providers.
- Participate in technical investigations related to Mandatory and Voluntary Occurrence Reports, in support of WAZ Management System
- Support the process of ARC endorsement.
- Support the process of aircraft delivery.
- Liaising with design organizations for aircraft modifications.
- Support Aircraft visits – product audits/inspections.
- If it is required to act as base maintenance representative.
- Follow applicable requirements of Safety Management System
- Any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education acceptable to the GCAA (‘relevant engineering degree’ means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components);
- Previous experience in CAMO or CAR 145 environment;
- Fluent English knowledge;
- Maintenance Program course/training;
- Experience and knowledge of principles of development and amendment of an Aircraft Maintenance program including knowledge of MSG-3 principles;
- Knowledge on Fuel Tank Safety;
- Knowledge on HF principles;
- Knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL;
- Good knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Program and its source documents
- Good knowledge of AMOS and MS Office tools
