The project focuses on delivering leadership and design support in all aspects of aviation, including planning, design, smart systems, and operation.
Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director - Aviation Planning for our aviation team in Dubai. You will be able to use your extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in aviation master planning for both landside and airside, terminals planning and design, infrastructure including special aviation systems. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring project objectives are met within scope, budget, and schedule. You'll need a flair for collaboration and forming robust relationships within the various offices of Jacobs, to ensure successful interfaces with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
Additional key responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership and direction, ensuring alignment with Jacobs goals and objectives. Define deliverables, and success criteria, in line with the client’s requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the framework lifecycle.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of technical operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead technical projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
• Utilize extensive knowledge and exposure in airport architecture and engineering, as well as operations, to provide strategic guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Coordinate with other units and stakeholders to align technical projects with overall business objectives.
• Develop and manage project budgets, monitor project expenditures, and implement cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to drive team productivity and foster a positive work environment.
You'll bring a diverse range of experience having worked on complex mega projects ($multi-billion + projects) and have strong working knowledge of airports. You will have an In-depth knowledge of airport planning, infrastructure, architectural and engineering principles, as well as operational considerations alongside a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within budget, scope, and schedule constraints. You will be able to demonstrate a strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control and Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software. You will have exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. You will exhibit the ability to navigate and manage complex regulatory and environmental requirements associated with airport projects and have familiarity with applicable safety standards, regulations, and risk management practices specific.
