Job Description

The Technical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering and project management teams within the construction and building industry. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and administrative skills to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks, including documentation, project coordination, and communication with stakeholders. With a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years of experience in a similar role, the Technical Assistant will contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  2. Coordinate project schedules and timelines, ensuring all team members are informed of deadlines.
  3. Support the engineering team in the review of technical drawings and plans.
  4. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients.
  5. Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the project manager.
  6. Conduct site visits to gather information and provide updates on project status.
  7. Assist in the procurement process by preparing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
  8. Maintain a filing system for project documents and ensure easy access for team members.
  9. Participate in project meetings and take minutes for future reference.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
