Job Description

We are interested in teachers with international curriculum teaching experience.
Qualifications: FS/KG/ Elementary/ Primary / Secondary - Bachelors in Arts / Science along with Bachelors in Education, both degrees in the same teaching subject Example - BA + B.Ed/ PGCE or B.Sc + B.Ed/ PGCE (None of the above degrees must be through distance, correspondence or from an open university)
Secondary, A/AS levels- Bachelors & Masters in Arts or Science along with Bachelors in Education, degrees should be in the same teaching subject Example - BA & MA + B.Ed/ PGCE or B.Sc & M.Sc + B.Ed/ PGCE (None of the above degrees must be through distance, correspondence or from an open university) Specialist subjects teachers such as Dance, Music, Special Education Needs, Art, French etc will require a specialist qualification in the teaching subject. 2 years of school teaching experience required for all of the above.
Interviews will be conducted in Nairobi. Shortlisted candidates will be invited directly by the GEMS Education Team.

Requirements:
The teaching subject & qualification should match.
Experience in any International curriculum such as IB Curriculum is preferred.
A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
An excellent team player both within the department and across phases
Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
Good command of English
