Tax Specialist

As a Tax Specialist, you will perform a variety of tax related activities and deliver professional tax services of consultative/advisory characteristics to the defined organization so that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives.

What You Will Do

• Analyze and interpret direct and indirect tax laws and regulations, customs regulations and prepare technical reports on how they impact the organization’s operations

  
  

• Maintain direct and indirect tax information and records; prepare tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports so that they are submitted accurately and on time

  
  

• Act as an advisory speaking partner for tax services providing technical tax advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers as well as colleagues in the finance area

  
  

• Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position

  
  

• Keep correspondence with external tax agencies and consultants

  
  

• Follow accounting standards and other Essity policies, including but not limited to IFRS, MICR and legal regulations

  
  

• Oversee and approve special procedures in relation to the defined tax services

  
  

• Support resolving external and internal audit findings

  
  

• Prioritize and resolve escalated issues from Tax Administrators and others and escalate possible challenges/ questions to the next level and secured hand-over

  
  

• Provide input to the key contact regarding needed changes, inefficiencies or other possible issues Contribute to finding and implementing effective solutions in a matrix organization

  
  

•  Maintains the interface to stakeholders, Business Unit Controlling network and Business contacts.

  
  

Who You Are

• Must have a university degree with financial background;

  
  

• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience in handling accounting and tax compliance in international company;

  
  

• Must have a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and time management; 

  
  

• Must be delighted to collaborate with colleagues across teams and with internal stakeholders;

  
  

• Must have very good English and interpersonal communication skills.

  
  

• Must have knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP B1 is a plus.
