Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a renowned university in the UAE. Our client is looking to hire a Tax Accountant who will be responsible for managing the university's tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax planning functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, possess a thorough understanding of tax laws applicable to educational institutions, and exhibit exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Manage and file the university’s tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and timely submission of all tax-related documents.
- Advise university departments on tax implications related to funding, donations, and other financial activities.
- Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize the institution's financial standing.
- Maintain internal tax controls and support tax audits.
- Collaborate with financial teams to integrate tax considerations into budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of tax accounting experience, preferably in higher education or non-profits.
- Strong understanding of tax laws applicable to universities.
- Proficient in tax software and financial accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
