Systems Engineer

**Consolidated Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and certified **IT Systems Engineer** with expertise in managing and supporting IT systems, including Microsoft Servers, virtualization technologies, storage solutions, and Office 365. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and leadership abilities to handle a variety of IT support and project management tasks. This role involves providing both L1 & L2 support, managing data center operations, and ensuring the security and performance of critical systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Provide L1 & L2 remote support for IT infrastructure, responding to customer queries via ticketing tools, emails, and calls.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Servers, Exchange Servers, Active Directory, SQL Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, and Office 365, including user account and permissions management.
3. Manage data center operations, including virtualization, storage technologies (SAN, NAS), and backups using Commvault, Veeam, and Veritas.
4. Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely ticket closure within SLAs.
5. Perform monthly health checks on IT infrastructure and submit reports to customers, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
6. Administer user accounts, manage hardware and software inventory, and ensure license compliance.
7. Manage system upgrades, patch management, and life cycle management for servers and workstations.
8. Oversee Microsoft Office 365 tenant operations, hybrid permissions management, and escalate issues to Microsoft support when required.
9. Support vulnerability management, security compliance, and disaster recovery for critical IT systems.
10. Lead IT infrastructure projects, including system installations, GPO and PDQ package deployments, and web security management for ERP applications.
11. Monitor system performance, storage capacity, and ensure high availability of IT systems.
12. Prepare and submit monthly service desk, storage, and print reports, and assist with tape backup operations.
13. Provide after-hours support as needed to maintain business continuity.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- **Certifications:** Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSA), VMware Certified Engineer, Backup certification (Veeam, Commvault), CCNA, Red Hat System Administration I.
- **Experience:** 7-10 years of experience managing IT infrastructure, with expertise in data center technologies, including Microsoft Servers, Exchange, VMware, SAN/NAS storage, and backups (Commvault, Veeam, Veritas).
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, SQL, Hyper-V, Office 365, and security management.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage IT projects and lead teams.
- Web development experience in C#, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, and ASP.NET is a plus.
**Location:** Dubai, UAE  
**Work Mode:** Full-time onsite with occasional after-hours support.
