Job Description
  • Prepare, review and analyze the annual Enablement operational expenditure budget, forecast and actuals.
  • Define the structures/processes required for the booking and reporting of cost across bank
  • In conjunction with enablement stakeholders, maintain control over the Enablement budgets, forecast & actuals and work as finance partner on formulating plan for optimal benefits
  • Track/update lead indicators, key KPI’s linked to cost to serve and measure productivity/efficiency of the functions.
  • Owner of FAB Group Cost Allocation Policy covering all attributes of cost allocations direct/indirect etc…
  • Finance partner to IT for planning and forecasting future IT expenditure based on customer demand for the services and the related costs – drive total cost of ownership (TCO) and drive commercial outcomes,
  • Manage centralized Group reporting around costs and manage planning/forecasting and trend analysis around cost
  • Finance custodian of bank cost save initiatives and independent validation of saves reporting
  • Collaborate with business and enablement on cost initiative formulation/validation and tracking as per submitted plan
  • Monitor and approve procurement cost saves policy and process.  Independent reviewer and approver of all cost saves
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance controls and create a work environment conducive to development of team’s potential Drive and coordinate implementation with Enablement and the Lines of Business of consistent cost allocation policy across Group. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Required: - Professional qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, Cost Accountant etc.) or master’s level qualification  
  • SME knowledge of cost allocation and industry best practice 15+ years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 10 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Finance function.
  • Technical knowledge of IFRS re Cost booking, PPA, Fixed & Intangible Assets, Capitalisation
  • Knowledge of Technology & Operations function
