Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain


  • Professional qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration will be preferred.


  • Proficiency in supply chain planning tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system


  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic will be considered an advantage


  • Proficient in PMS platforms, All Microsoft suite applications


  • 7-9 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the maritime, shipbuilding or oil & gas industry

About GAC Marine LLC


GAC Marine operates from our fully-equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. Operations are supported by our growing fleet of anchor handling tug supply vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boats, tow tugs, barges, utility vessels and landing craft.


Our expert crew, maintenance and other land-based staff are at hand to facilitate short turn-around times for class surveys, repairs, and maintenance.


GAC Marine is looking for the right person to join our team as a Supply Chain Supervisor to be based at its Abu Dhabi marine base. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, and demand and supply planning activities for the marine fleet operating in the Middle East. The role ensures the efficient flow of materials, services, and resources to support fleet operations while optimising costs, maintaining compliance, and ensuring operational excellence.


Job Description


  • Procurement Management - Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to marine operations. Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers for spare parts, equipment, fuel, and services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost efficiency. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list. Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and regional regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Ensure vessels are compliant with international maritime laws and company standards.


  • Logistics Coordination - Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of supplies to support fleet operations across various ports in the Middle East. Manage import/export documentation and customs clearance for international shipments. Coordinate with port authorities and shipping agents to streamline logistics processes. Monitor inventory levels on vessels and at regional hubs to prevent shortages or overstocking.


  • Demand and Supply Planning - Develop demand forecasts based on fleet operational schedules, maintenance plans, and historical consumption data. Align supply plans with operational needs, ensuring availability of critical parts and resources. Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions. Collaborate with operations, technical, and finance teams to align on resource allocation and budget management.


  • Operational Excellence - Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement, logistics, and supply chain efficiency. Continuously improve supply chain processes to enhance cost-effectiveness and reduce lead times. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in supply chain operations.


  • Team Leadership - Supervise a team of supply chain specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals. Act as the primary liaison between fleet operations and supply chain teams.
