Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist – Procurement will manage procurement of goods and services on either a tactical or strategic basis depending on the characteristics of the procured items.


The ideal candidate should have experience of developing and executing tactical procurement plans for project and MRO procurement requirements, as well as developing sourcing strategies for critical high value, complex goods and services.


You will support stakeholders executing complex high-value marine seismic survey projects globally through the on-time supply of defect free goods and services purchased competitively.


You will procure these goods and services via a global supply base distributed across Asia, Middle East, Europe, Scandinavia, North & South America and you should be experienced in managing sourcing initiatives and leading multi-million-dollar negotiations to achieve cost savings within the assigned purchasing groups.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of maritime and seismic related MRO and equipment spend categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational excellence
  • Partner with teams to drive forward new technology initiatives, including digital transformation plans
  • Develop relationships with internal partners, including engineering, operations and R&D teams to develop requirements and procurement schedules
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and lead high-value negotiations with key suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions in line with company standards
  • Drive technology rationalization and consolidation efforts to enable tangible and quantifiable cost optimization
  • Utilize market intelligence and industry trends to inform procurement strategies, drive innovation and cost-effectiveness
  • Experienced in working within a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success and long-term partnerships
  • Ensure that purchasing requirements are carried out in accordance with the PXGEO Management System Procedures and process
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for the assigned categories and purchasing groups including supplier onboarding, RFQ, undertaking commercial negotiations, raising purchase orders, obtaining order acknowledgement and expediting with approved suppliers on the Approve Vendor List
  • Understanding and negotiating commercial aspects of contract agreements (subcontract agreements, master service agreements, license/subscription agreements), carrying out supplier risk analysis, introducing and applying negotiation recommendations (where required)
  • Monitor and escalate noncompliance to PXGEO procurement processes
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Procurement Operations Supervisor on areas for improvement
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient operation in all procurement activities
  • Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required
