The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production & site process and ensuring efficient manpower planning. You will be accountable for overseeing the budget planning for jobs and handling the allocation of manpower in workshop and site. This role requires strong technical and functional skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage and coordinate teams.
Main Accountabilities.
1.Supervision and Leadership:
§ Supervise and lead a team of electricians in both production and site areas, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to schedule.
§ Assign daily tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure quality control for all electrical activities.
2. Scope and Project Preparation:
§ Receive the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from the Production Coordinator (PC), understand the scope of work, and review the issued drawings.
§ List out all required elements and resources for the project to ensure proper preparation before starting.
3. Team Briefing and Task Allocation:
§ Brief the electrical team according to the approved planning, allocating tasks based on the project scope and priorities.
§ Ensure the team is well-informed of project timelines, expectations, and any specific requirements before mobilizing to site.
4.Manpower Planning and Allocation:
§ Develop a comprehensive 2-week manpower plan that considers both workshop production requirements and project timelines.
§ Coordinate and assign tasks to the workforce, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and the timely completion of tasks within the workshop and on-site.
5. Budget Planning and Oversight:
§ Monitor job expenditures and suggest cost-saving measures as necessary to ensure financial efficiency.
6. Coordination with Operations Manager:
§ Regularly coordinate with the Operations Manager to monitor the status of project preparation and ensure all necessary resources are in place for the team.
7. Production and Site Process Oversight:
§ Monitor the production and site processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
§ Ensure that all electrical work is performed as per the drawings and meets the necessary codes and regulations.
8. Performance Evaluation and Development:
§ Regularly assess the performance of the electrical team, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to enhance productivity and efficiency.
§ Identify areas for improvement and implement training or corrective actions as needed.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
§ Maintain accurate records of job activities, progress, and any changes in scope.
§ Prepare and submit regular reports on job progress, manpower utilization, and budget expenditures, providing management with updates on electrical activities.
§ Incidents notifications and delays should be reported to OM.
10. As-Built Load Schedule and Wiring Drawings:
§ Prepare as-built load schedules and wiring drawings based on project conditions, ensuring that all electrical work is documented accurately and in accordance with the actual installation.
§ Ensure the team has access to updated as-built drawings and schedules for ongoing work.
11. Technical Training and Skill Development:
§ Conduct regular technical training sessions to ensure the team adheres to industry standards and keeps up with the latest trends, codes, and best practices.
§ Continuously improving team skills, focusing on electrical systems, safety, and efficiency
12. 5S and Lean Management Implementation:
· Implement and enforce 5S principles and Lean management techniques to optimize workflows and improve efficiency in electrical operations.
13. Health & Safety:
§ Under the Company Safety Policy, the painting coordinator has a responsibility to follow the above duties in a safe manner in accordance with the Safe Systems of Work and the procedures laid down under the Health and safety environment (HSE).
