General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Technical Group to review relevant technical submittals, shop drawings, RFI etc. associated with the Structural works
- Coordinate with the designers, sub-consultants and the contractor
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders.
- Monitor and control construction activities and report progress on site.
- Follow up on technical issues required for work relating to the assigned work area
- Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- When requested, review General Contractors method statements and construction procedures, and provide comments and or recommendations.
- Attending Technical Meeting with the other members of the team including the Design Architect.
- When assigned, chair Progress and Coordination Meetings between Structure, Civil, MEP and Finishes activity
- Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
- Review the General Contractors applications for payment
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as assigned.
- Provides technical guidance to junior Engineers working on the same project.
- Provide information in a timely manner required to meet the project KPIs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in a construction /supervision role.
- Experience in large scale international projects
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
