Job Description
Storekeeper will perform a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.
Technical
- Maintain inventory for plant supplies includes ordering, receiving and allocating
- Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports and correspondence.
- Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
- Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
- Reports cancelled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate
- Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Identification, segregation and preservation of materials stored
- Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Segregation of waste for proper disposal
- Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of material and to arrange for inspection
- Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
- Arrange to return non-conforming materials
- Issue material as per the requirements and maintain records.

- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Requirements:
- Minimum of technical certificate / Associate’s Diploma in any discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in process industry in stores or utility industry
