Job Description

Job Summary & Purpose:

A creative and goal-oriented executive with responsibility for managing Sharaf DG brand and category marketing to achieve overall business goals.

Will work with brands, category, and agency teams to ensure optimization of messaging and spend across every marketing channel.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities:

Market Research & Intelligence:

• Develop customer, category and competition understanding to analyse, evaluate and determine a marketing approach focused on short term and long term.

• Develop a strong understanding of consumers to develop messaging, programs and brand differentiators to create awareness, engagement and demand for Sharaf DG’s products and services.

Customer Footfalls

• Monitor Store, Web/App and Category traffic and develop plans to achieve business goals.

• Develop a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Web/App banners, merchandising, promotions, Search, Social Media, Emails, Push Notifications, Print, Radio, Catalogs and Performance Marketing) and actively work to optimize these channels for the business.

• Develop the marketing calendar in line with category calendar and events, co-promotion, and sponsorship/visibility opportunities for brands.

• Collaborate with brands, category team, agencies, and property owners to create events that attract customer footfalls.

• Collaborate with internal teams and brands to drive experiments on brand funded promotions, gamification, and influencer marketing.

Campaign Management

• Interact with brands and category team to design and execute monthly marketing plan for each category setting timelines, budget and deliverables to achieve the business goals.

• Develop creative briefs backed with data for creative development by the agency

• Work with agencies to create campaign collaterals, media plans, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for approvals, monitor campaign execution and measure outcomes

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Develop strong working relationships with all cross-functional and agency teams, including creative agencies, retail operations team, category team, and finance. 

• Collaborate with Category team to develop effective marketing campaigns to drive category sales.

• Work closely with the E-commerce and Retail teams to ensure seamless omnichannel customer messaging and experiences.

• Work on monetisation opportunities with brands across channels

• Support the commercial finance team in monitoring marketing team budgets.

• Collaborate with analytics team to create dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.

Reports:

• Conduct in-depth analyses to determine program effectiveness, continuously improving programs and marketing initiatives.

• Share insights with brands, category team, retail team to improve effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Learning:

• Gain expertise in marketing by learning, experimenting, and continuous improvement in line with Sharaf DG values.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in the market


RequirementsQualitative Requirements

5 years + in B2C marketing in retail Industry preferably in electronics industry

Postgraduate

MBA in Marketing is desirable

Bilingual English and Arabic, Detail Orientation, Strong Planning and Organizing, Analytical and Problem Solving, Excellent Communication, Collaboration, Task Management, Negotiation & Presentation
