Job Description
• Project Scheduling & Planning:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Establish project baselines, monitor progress, and update schedules accordingly.
- Identify potential delays, forecast risks, and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) to determine key milestones and dependencies.
• Coordination, Reporting & Communication:
- Collaborate with planning managers, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align scheduling with project requirements.
- Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and schedule variance analysis to management.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify project progress against planned schedules.
- Ensure seamless stakeholder communication, providing updates on project timelines and potential risks.
• Risk Assessment, Change Management & Mitigation:
- Analyse project risks related to scheduling, resource allocation, and external dependencies.
- Recommend mitigation strategies to minimize delays and optimize efficiency.
- Evaluate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs while maintaining baseline integrity.
• Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to Abu Dhabi construction regulations, project contracts, and industry standards.
- Maintain updated project records, logs, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Track all schedule revisions and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Additional Responsibilities:
- Monitor project performance against baseline schedules and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Support manpower and resource planning by aligning schedules with workforce availability.
- Accomplish any other assigned tasks by the line manager to support department efficiency and organizational goals.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
✅ 10+ years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
✅ Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
✅ Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
✅ Knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s construction regulations is a plus.
