Job Description

Role / Purpose Jobs at this level are responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work and for carrying out allocated duties related to the preparation, checking and issue of Engineering deliverables. This can include site visits and close liaison with the Design Office Coordinator. Duties and responsibility
• Perform onshore and/or offshore pipeline engineering activities (specifications, design, code checks, calculations, stress analysis, buckling analysis etc…)
• Prepare engineering reports/deliverables from the design activities, and respond to and resolve client comments/clarifications
• Ensure that all engineering work is done in accordance with applicable regulations and codes
• Assisting lead engineer in identifying, planning and scheduling engineering and design tasks required in the project
• Provide quality control checks of pipeline engineering deliverables in project scope
• Assist with project cost estimate and manpower estimates
• Provide tender support, raise technical queries, assist lead engineer on pipeline part of the technical proposal
• Prepare MTOs and PRs and other inputs to commercial proposal, and perform technical evaluation
• Review vendor documents, calculation and drawing for pipeline component (line pipe, flanges, valves, anchor flanges, hot bend etc.)
• Co-ordinate and work with drafting personnel
• Perform site surveys, prepare as-built drawings
• Train and mentor graduate engineers
• Full compliance with HSE policies and standards
Skills Required
Minimum Qualifications
• Candidate shall have a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical or other engineering disciplines from an accredited program.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in onshore and/or offshore pipeline engineering
• Familiar with all relevant pipeline codes and regulations, DNV F101, API 1111, ASME B31.4, B31.8 and others
• Proficient with computers in an engineering environment and experience in using pipeline design and analysis software; FE analysis skill using ABAQUS is a plus
• Familiar with industry practices and permitting requirements for pipeline design and construction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Self-motivated, strong initiative; good planning and decision making skills
