As a Specialist Medical Oncology, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with cancer. You will utilize your expertise to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of care is delivered throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose cancer types and stages through the interpretation of results and develop appropriate treatment strategies
- Administer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other oncological treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Educate patients and their families about cancer treatment options and potential side effects
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and research in the field of medical oncology
- Participate in clinical research and trials to contribute to advancements in cancer treatment
