Job Description


JOB PURPOSE:


The Sr. /Specialist Corporate Communications Ruwais-site:


  1. Is responsible for the development of corporate communications strategic & tactical requirements and lead implementation to deliver professional external communications, internal communications, media relations, social media, branding and crisis communication for the Borouge Ruwais-site.


  2. Provides actively strategic communications advice to the Ruwais-site management.


  3. Prioritizes and aligns corporate communication activities to the global communications strategy.


  4. Executes global communications content into one common voice for the internal and external audiences on and around the Ruwais-site.


  5. Aligns with other Ruwais-site users communications initiatives that impact them or impact Borouge.


  6. Contributes on an ongoing basis to develop Borouge corporate communication initiatives.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Operates as the day-to-day point of contact for the Ruwais-site line management to address corporate communications requirements for the Ruwais internal and external community.


  • Translates Ruwais-site functional requirements into corporate communications requirements.


  • Prioritizes communications requirements with Manager Corporate Communications ADP.


  • Develops and implements strategic and tactical corporate communications plans for the Ruwais-site.


  • Champions dedicated brand efforts for the Ruwais-site.


  • Manages for the Ruwais-site the communications budget, resources and planning.


  • Act as strategic communication advisor and coach for the Ruwais-site leadership.


  • Evaluates effectiveness and results for all Ruwais-site corporate communications activities and advices accordingly.


  • Collaborates with global expertise centres to deliver implement global and dedicated Ruwais-site communication initiatives.


  • Contributes to initiatives of Corporate Communications ADP.


  • Contribute actively to dedicated Ruwais-site crisis communications.


  • Develops and introduces new communications tools to increase the level of engagement with all relevant stakeholders at the Ruwais-site.


  • Tracks and keeps Ruwais-site content on intranet (Bornet) up to date.


  • Develops and executes initiatives to communicate actively with the community in Ruwais who are impacted by the Ruwais-site activity.


  • Foster relationship with professional communication suppliers, especially in the Ruwais region.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification


  • Bachelor Degree in the field of communications, business management or social sciences or equivalent, based on previous job-experience.


Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills


  • At least 5 years of experience in communications, marketing or other relevant areas.


  • Active on relevant social media channels.


  • Superb writing skills in English and Arabic.


  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.


  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills,


  • Solid understanding of project management principles.


Professional Certifications


  • Bachelor Degree or higher


  • CPD qualification from international recognized communications body (PRCA, MEPRA, IABC, CIPR, etc.)
