Job Description
- JOB PURPOSE:
Senior systems engineer provides technical leadership, project management and oversight of the multiple digital-business deliverables:
Systems of Internal control, performance and conformance monitoring, internal and external compliance, Services assurance and benefits delivery, optimization and cost control, resources utilization, stakeholder engagement, governance and framework setting, demand control and planning. Setup technical application infrastructure and related application dedicated for Oil/Gas industry, Implement Cyber security setup in digital infrastructure and network topologies (IT/OT). Design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications and digital support and infrastructure systems. Mange digital plans, schedules, policies and programs for an organization’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.
Implement digital strategy by working with cross-functional partners to map and transition analog processes to digital ones, manage/implement digital innovation and serve as a change agent throughout the organization. Ability to run technical setup and related team members and related processes: supervise, install, configure, integrity and efficient operations of digital infrastructure to support digital services in compliance with the company policy standards and procedures. Manage digital and AI projects aligns with company/division strategy and vision.
As a designated shared services provider for Al Dhafra Petroleum and Al Yasat Petroleum, all accountabilities, roles, and responsibilities of the position shall be applicable to both companies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
Manage Performance and Conformance Monitoring
- Maintain ServiceNow for Administration and workflows.
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of the computer operation environment, ensure adherence, and propose standards and maintenance of high-performance levels for equipment and systems.
- Monitor the performance throughput, availability, capacity, and exceptional incidents of the server services and ensure the smooth running of all equipment through effective preventive maintenance to achieve optimal resource utilization.
- Carryout trouble shooting and participate in managing crisis situations, suggesting recommendation and implementation of improvements to ensure safeguard of all existing equipment.
- Liaise with IT security compliance team to ensure high level of systems security and proper/ authorized access to company confidential data.
- Supervise and control System Administration, data backup & retrieval for high level of security and availability.
- Manage vendor performance and the maintenance of all existing Servers (software and hardware) through contracts/agreements with suppliers/contractors to ensure work is as per company's
- Manage Windows, Citrix, and LAN/WAN systems supporting Windows SQL/Server-based and ERP systems.
- Own and monitor the digital-innovation project portfolio.
- Manage Enterprise Architect systems and comply with compliance, security, and approved technology.
- General Accountabilities
Manage Systems of Internal Control and Service Assurance
- Evaluate and plan for Server upgrades/replacement according to company policy, business need and technology evolution.
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Manage upgrades and implementations and troubleshoot systems issues as needed.
- Operational responsibility for (patching, anti-virus, server health) for a subset of servers in a Windows environment (both physical and virtualized)
- Design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, Oil/Gas technical applications, and digital support and infrastructure systems
- Identify new tools (AI, digital, CRM) that can support and enhance solutions.
- Design, implement and manage licenses server for technical application.
- Review assess and approve digital service desk requests and incidents.

Projects Management
- Manage ADNOC GCs Digital Projects (Exploration, Production, Integration, Automation, Enhance and digitalize processes, technical applications, Back allocation, Prediction and AI).
- Manage ADNOC GCs Business-Digital Projects (Projects and engineering, site connectivity and related systems, security and compliance, historical and productions data).
- Manage ADNOC GCs Assets-Business-Digital Projects (Indexing, asset management, technical demands, treasury operational).
Assure Benefits Delivery, Innovation and Optimization
- Design and implement new techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Work with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, business users’ experiences.
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section I Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
- Manage Al Dhafra – Al Yasat synergy project and shared resources/Services.
Stakeholder engagement demand management
- Meet with internal business & operations stakeholders to identify integration gaps.
- Manage procurement plan for digital division and all digital section for all business users.
- Manage asset records and new demands management.
- Manage all digital contracts, PRs, AR, PO, frameworks, SES, GRN, Invoices
Manage resources utilization:
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
- Work closely with Human Resources to attract and retain top talent, and to build digital capabilities across the company
- Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices among partners and colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem.
