As a Specialist/Consultant Urologist, your primary responsibility will involve evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a range of urological conditions. You will engage in surgical procedures as needed and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical histories, symptoms, and comprehensive examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as urinalysis, imaging studies, and urodynamics.
- Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system, such as urinary incontinence, kidney stones, and prostate diseases.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, which may consist of medical therapies, lifestyle changes, and surgical interventions.
- Perform surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques as well as traditional open surgeries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care and management.
- Stay current with advancements in urology through continuous education and participation in professional development opportunities.
