Specialist/ Consultant Surgical Oncologist

In this role, you will be integral to the surgical oncology team, playing a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancer patients.

As a Specialist/Consultant Surgical Oncologist, you will utilize your expertise to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans, manage patient care through preoperative and postoperative phases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest standard of oncology care. Your role involves not only performing complex surgeries but also engaging with patients and their families to discuss treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.

• Conduct thorough assessments of cancer patients, including medical histories and physical examinations
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Develop and implement comprehensive surgical treatment strategies tailored to individual patients
• Perform complex oncological surgeries and ensure high standards of patient care
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings to discuss patient cases
• Oversee postoperative care and follow-up, addressing any complications or concerns
• Stay abreast of developments in surgical oncology, incorporating new techniques and technologies into practice
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff and medical students
