SearchPlus HR is excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Consultant Refractive Surgeon to join our renowned healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your expertise to diagnose and treat a variety of refractive errors, ultimately enhancing patients' vision and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating patient conditions, recommending appropriate surgical interventions, performing advanced refractive surgery procedures, and providing comprehensive post-operative care. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes through innovative and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ visual acuity and overall eye health.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as corneal topography and wavefront analysis, to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Perform refractive surgeries, including LASIK, PRK, and other corneal procedures, using state-of-the-art technology.
- Provide pre-operative consultations and post-operative follow-ups, ensuring patients understand their treatment journey.
- Manage patient care by prescribing medications and recommending therapies to promote healing.
- Educate patients and their families about the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of refractive surgery.
- Maintain meticulous records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress to provide continuity of care.
- Stay current with advancements in refractive surgery techniques and technologies through ongoing education.
