Job Description
Clinical Care:
- Diagnose and manage chronic and acute pain conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, and postoperative pain.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological therapies.
- Perform advanced interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and other minimally invasive techniques.
Patient Education and Support:
- Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies and the expected outcomes of treatments.
- Provide guidance on lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and psychological interventions to support long-term pain relief.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care:
- Work closely with anesthesiologists, neurologists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive pain management services.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and ensure integrated care.
Education and Mentorship:
- Train and mentor medical trainees, nurses, and allied health professionals in pain medicine principles and practices.
- Organize and participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities and workshops related to pain management.
