Manage complex cases such as multidrug-resistant infections, HIV/AIDS, tropical diseases, and sepsis.
Provide consultation services to other medical teams for infectious disease management and antimicrobial stewardship.
Infection Control and Prevention:
Lead infection prevention and control programs within the hospital or healthcare organization.
Collaborate with infection control teams to develop and implement policies to minimize healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
Monitor and manage outbreaks, including providing guidance on isolation measures and reporting to public health authorities.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with microbiologists, pharmacists, intensivists, and other specialists to optimize patient care.
Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary meetings, and hospital committees related to infectious diseases.
Education and Training:
Provide training and education to medical staff, trainees, and allied health professionals on infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection prevention.
Organize and participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities and workshops.
