In this key role, you will provide specialized surgical care to patients suffering from a variety of foot and ankle conditions, enhancing their mobility and quality of life.
As a Specialist Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon, you will conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and perform advanced surgical interventions. Your proficiency in the latest surgical techniques and commitment to patient-centered care will be crucial in delivering optimal outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for your patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed patient evaluations and assess medical history related to foot and ankle issues
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
- Diagnose a range of conditions affecting the foot and ankle, including deformities, fractures, and degenerative diseases
- Perform surgical procedures, such as arthroscopic surgeries, corrective osteotomies, and reconstructive surgeries
- Implement both surgical and non-surgical treatment plans, tailoring approaches to individual patient needs
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, recovery times, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all surgical procedures and treatment outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in foot and ankle surgery through continuous education and training
