Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is looking for experienced and talented Sous Chef – Main Kitchen to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The newly opened Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.
You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key leadership skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can:
Participate in the planning and costing of menus Works with Head Chef in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget Prepare and cook a variety of dishes throughout the day, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Support, train, and supervise kitchen team, ensuring they adhere to recipes, cooking techniques, and safety standards. Foster a positive and productive team environment. Assist in the creation and development of menus that cater to various dining times and preferences, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback. Monitor the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s quality standards. Address any issues promptly to maintain consistency. Oversee inventory levels and manage orders to ensure an adequate supply of ingredients while controlling food costs and minimizing waste. Ensure all kitchen operations adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment and enforce proper hygiene practices among staff. Assist in managing kitchen operations during all service periods, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals and resolving any issues that arise. Work closely with the Executive Chef and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house staff

What we need from you



Diploma degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field 4+ years’ related experience, including supervising all kitchen areas Operational Excellence: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Customer Focus: The ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations is paramount. Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, cost control. Strong Culinary Knowledge: A deep understanding of culinary techniques, food trends, and menu development & Promotions. Outstanding administrative skills and communication and leadership skills. Experience in Arabic cuisine would be advantageous
