Role Purpose: The Controlling Executive will be responsible for the effective management of the Controlling Analyst (AP) processes, ensuring the accurate processing and validation of payments, invoices, petty cash claims, and reconciliations. The individual will also ensure compliance with tax regulations, validate the approval hierarchy, review General Ledger (G/L) accounts related to accounts payable, and manage vendor reconciliation and misstatement resolutions.


What you will do:


  1. Petty Cash Vouchers Validation:
    • Review and validate petty cash vouchers, ensuring they comply with company policies and are properly supported with appropriate documentation.
    • Verify the legitimacy of claims and ensure that all expenditures are justified before processing payment.
  2. Vendor Invoice Validation (Tax Compliance and Approval Hierarchy):
    • Validate vendor invoices for tax compliance in line with relevant tax laws and regulations.
    • Ensure that invoices meet the company’s approval hierarchy before processing, ensuring that they are approved by the authorized personnel.
  3. ICM (Intercompany) Invoices Validation and Open Item Management:
    • Review and validate Intercompany invoices in the system, ensuring that all related documentation is accurate.
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure that open items are promptly acknowledged and cleared.
  4. Monthly General Ledger (G/L) Review:
    • Perform monthly reviews of the General Ledger (G/L) accounts related to Accounts Payable to ensure accurate postings and balances.
    • Prepare and provide explanations for discrepancies and collaborate with the accounting team for rectification.
  5. Vendor Reconciliation and Misstatement Management:
    • Conduct regular vendor account reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and supported by appropriate documentation.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or misstatements in vendor accounts, working with vendors and internal teams to clear outstanding issues.
  6. Other Responsibilities:
    • Support the year-end audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to Accounts payable transactions.
    • Assist in streamlining and improving the efficiency of the Accounts Payable process through process improvements and automation.

What you will need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Controlling Analyst or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and invoice processing.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, similar).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and invoice validation processes.
  • Experience in the preparation of vendor reconciliations and financial reporting.
