We are looking for a Site Engineers for one of our Post Construction industry client in Dubai. The role involves technical, managerial, and supervisory tasks, requiring a combination of engineering knowledge, practical skills, and strong leadership. Site engineer is part of the site management team and takes some of the responsibility for security, health and safety, and organizing and supervising materials and people. Site engineer marks out the site, makes sure designs are applied correctly and liaise with main and sub-contractors and the site manager. Site engineer perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on construction projects. Site engineer has to execute the job as per the approved drawings, designs and schedule following the approved method statements without compromising the safety and quality with approved materials. He has to maintain good relationship with the client engineers.
JOB SUMMARY :
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
Monitoring and interpreting the design and drawings supplied by the client.
Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
Responsible forOverseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
Preparing reports as required.
Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.
Observance of safety requirements.
Quality control in accordance with approved method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans, all prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors.
Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions.
Preparing record drawings, technical reports, site diary
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Experience in overseeing large-scale construction projects, including residential, commercial, or infrastructure development.
Experience with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primate) is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and safety standards.
Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Familiarity with relevant local and international building codes and regulations.
Strong understanding of project management and scheduling tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Good problem-solving ability, especially under pressure.
