Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Order Preparation: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements and company standards.
  • Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule and arrange shipments.
  • Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
  • Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from damage.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipping-related inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping processes and efficiency.


Skills

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and logistics management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documents and inventory records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
