Job Description
Principle Accountabilities :
1. Oversee the entire shipbuilding process from conceptual design to final delivery.
2. Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met.
3. Coordinate with various departments (design, procurement, production) to ensure project milestones
are achieved.
4. Develop and manage the shipbuilding project’s budget.
5. Ensure that costs remain within the allocated budget.
6. Review and approve procurement of materials and services.
7. Monitor spending and work with the finance department to ensure financial control.
8. Manage and allocate resources efficiently (personnel, equipment, materials)..
9. Oversee testing and inspections to ensure the vessel meets safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
10. Manage quality assurance programs and processes.
11. Lead a team of engineers, designers, and laborers.
12. Oversee the procurement of materials and services for the shipbuilding project.
