Job Description

Purpose of the role: 




Prepares all main ingredients (meat/ chicken) and other food items for cooking and marinating, seasoning breading, sauteing and pro-portioning in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. 


  1. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Set up the station completely with the appropriate utensils and equipment, as per company guidelines
  • Prepare and serve high quality shawarma following approved standard recipe and presentation
  • Maintain the sanitation of workstation assigned at all times
  • Work with Shawarma chef & Restaurant Manager for the list of all the daily preparations, kitchen team priority, special tasks, etc.
  • Ensure that shawarma portion and temperature are as of high-quality standard
  • Monitor food stock on assigned station including the freshness of food and discard out-of-date item
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene
  • Support with other cooking activities if required by the business. – wrapping, grills, oven cooking etc as required

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Shawarma cutting on a Skewer with a reputed shawarma brand
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
  • Ability to read and speak in English (Basic)
  • Willingness to work extra hours
  • Must be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications as per company standard 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in any location within UAE
  • Ability to do multi-tasking.
