Job Description
Purpose of the role:
Prepares all main ingredients (meat/ chicken) and other food items for cooking and marinating, seasoning breading, sauteing and pro-portioning in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
- KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up the station completely with the appropriate utensils and equipment, as per company guidelines
- Prepare and serve high quality shawarma following approved standard recipe and presentation
- Maintain the sanitation of workstation assigned at all times
- Work with Shawarma chef & Restaurant Manager for the list of all the daily preparations, kitchen team priority, special tasks, etc.
- Ensure that shawarma portion and temperature are as of high-quality standard
- Monitor food stock on assigned station including the freshness of food and discard out-of-date item
- Ensure food safety and hygiene
- Support with other cooking activities if required by the business. – wrapping, grills, oven cooking etc as required
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Shawarma cutting on a Skewer with a reputed shawarma brand
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
- Ability to read and speak in English (Basic)
- Willingness to work extra hours
- Must be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications as per company standard
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in any location within UAE
- Ability to do multi-tasking.
