Job Summary:
The Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site service and support to customers. Acting as a mobile field service engineer, you will resolve technical issues promptly and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Under minimal supervision, you will perform routine maintenance, setup, and operation of manual, CNC, and PLC equipment, optimizing efficiencies and implementing continuous improvements in production. Key tasks include the installation, validation, and commissioning of new CNC machines, as well as diagnosing and repairing existing equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of TRUMPF CNC machines, including laser cutting, punching, and bending.
- Provide on-site training to customers and colleagues to maximize machine efficiency using effective production techniques.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve malfunctions, breakdowns, and mechanical/electrical issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and perform on-site repairs for rapid issue resolution.
- Inspect machines and report to management regarding the necessity of new equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure effective operation of TRUMPF machines.
- Conduct safety checks to mitigate risks associated with machine operation.
- Collaborate with customers to plan upgrades for existing machines.
- Promote ATAD service contracts.
- Address technical queries related to spare parts and part number identification.
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with client and ATAD expectations.
- Exemplify adherence to ATAD rules and regulations, safeguarding company property.
- Support management and colleagues, contributing to ATAD's success.
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports for every job completed.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical training to team members.
- Implement ATAD policies and procedures.
- Abide by ATAD’s code of conduct.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.
