We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Technology Product Manager – Wholesale GPS EMEA Technology.


Working in the MENAT Wholesale Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Technology team, you will be accountable for the delivery of Payments projects in MENAT region and manage programs which require implementation of payment solutions, to the benefit of our Business, Customers and Stakeholders, while achieving the Bank’s regulatory commitments. You will be working with Business Leads, Product Owners, Engineering PODs, and peers within the GPS and wider Tech Teams to safely deliver new features and offerings. You will also work with Platform/Domain Architects to achieve the target architecture strategy. You will be supporting investment and delivery roadmaps, that will evolve our services to be channel-agnostic and underpinned by streamlined data models and modern platforms.


Principal responsibilities


? Be the technology interface for business stakeholders and providing consultancy on the development and deployment of payment systems (and leveraging existing technology more effectively) to enable business initiatives, mitigate operational risks and achieve automation. As the primary contact for the Businesses across the Bank, the role holder should be able to quickly understand the technical aspects of a project or an issue and assess the feasibility and cost of related solutions to be implemented.
? Lead the solutionising for regional Domestic & Emerging Payments (DOME) sub value-stream, including strategic & enhancements in Low Value schemes like ACH, Direct Debits, Wage Protection System and Cheque Clearing system, as well as Domestic RTP (Real Time Payments) & R2P (Request to Pay) schemes.
? Interface with Central Banks and Third-party vendors to comply with fast-evolving and demanding Regulatory environment across the region.
? The role holder will play a key role in leading teams to deliver Technology solutions and support to the end user. They will work as part of a Senior Technology team engaging the engineering, and service support functions, acting as the representative of business users and defining requirements.
? As a GPS Technical Product Owner in Agile projects, the role will lead various GBGF Tech teams throughout the project lifecycle – requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment to ensure smooth delivery within defined scope, quality, time and budget.
? Produce and maintain project artifacts & deliverables like Business Requirements Document, End-to-end Customer Journeys, Process Flow & Sequence Diagrams, and JIRA Backlog (Initiatives, Epics, User Stories)
? Monitor the ongoing progress of projects within the MENAT GPS Technology portfolio; review and prioritize new requests; provide cost & effort estimates; facilitate project funding and resource engagement.
? Coordinate activities and tasks across suppliers from GPS and other GBGF (Global Business & Global Functions) Tech Teams, regionally and globally, to achieve project goals.
? Effectively manage and collaborate with senior leadership teams & stakeholders across Lines of Businesses, Operations and Global Functions.
? Manage project risks, issues and dependencies with prompt resolution and escalation of blockers that could impact the delivery scope, budget, or timelines.
? Ensure compliance with project management frameworks and internal standards, controls & processes for effective governance.
? Control all scope creeps and deviations as per established project change request processes.
? Driving the adoption of solutions which support scaling and resilience to improve the reliability of our services.


Requirements


? Deep subject matter expertise of Payments and Transaction Processing domain including hands-on proficiency in Swift MT & MX Messaging standards for CBPR, HVPS, IAP and Local scheme specifications used in MENAT markets.
? Well versed with domestic clearing systems (RTGS, ACH, RTP etc.) and Multi-country / Multi-currency RTGS systems like AFAQ and Buna prevalent in MENAT region.
? Sound knowledge of concepts like Payment Transparency, Sanctions Screening, Transaction Monitoring, Fraud Checks, Liquidity Management, Reconciliation, and FX Transparency.
? Strong understanding of Wholesale IT structures, processes and objectives across the Group, as well as operational and financial functioning of GPS Technology.
? High level of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of projects simultaneously across GPS Technology portfolio.
? Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis and in recognition of the global remit of this role.
? Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
? Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the business and DBS.
? Strong background of technical product ownership and management with a proven ability to deliver end to end Payment solutions.
? Practical experience of major IT transformation activities.
? Strong financial analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualize financial data into business activities and conclusions.

Requirements
  • ? Ideally you have a first degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) subject.
    ? Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project/program management with preference for having a Payments & Liquidity Management background
    ? Very good knowledge of HSBC MENAT regulatory landscape and Wholesale Business technical footprint
    ? Exposed to Core Banking major deployments and upgrades with direct involvement representing business requirements and signoff.
    ? You have confirmed experience in software design, development and Implementation of distributed and high-volume transactional systems with the following technologies:
    o Microservices, including green-field design and decomposing monolithic applications.
    o API Design & Management
    o Experience if applying Event driven design and streaming technologies.
    o Exposure to build/deployment pipelines and their usage
    o Exposure to application environment provisioning & measurement in Cloud
